Grandpa Sam, sunset and taxes

We spent the better portion of a rainy and windy Saturday doing our taxes.  Rob is quite the tax guru so he prepares taxes for both kids, Sam and us.  Turbo Tax does make this process much easier and we all know that the tax system is way too complicated.  The good thing is that all taxes are done and all returns have been accepted!  I cannot recall the last time we had all taxes done before the deadline.  We usually apply for an extension and do them in that time window.  Rob is the king of tax procrastination.

After we did taxes, we drove over to Sam's assisted living facility.  He still enjoys going out to eat and always wants a steak.  He is still such a pleasant man and his sense of humor can catch you off guard.  He will be 95 in November and I think he looks great.

We got home from dinner and the girls were at the door waiting.  They have learned to love their post dinner walk and give us a ration of barking if we do not accommodate.  The wind had settled a bit and there was no rain.  We walked a block over and to the end of a street called S Banana River blvd.  There is a little point with a bench and it is a perfect place to watch the dolphins and sunset.
