Moving Day

Sunday was moving day.

We have yet to stay somewhere that we just could not wait to leave but we are always ready to go somewhere else.  It is that Wanderlust thing.

We'd had a great time at Liberty Harbor RV park and The PGA Championship.  I guess many would have stayed for the final day of the tournament but we decided to head out.  We had both had great on-site experiences and decided to watch the last round on TV.  We also wanted to get to Virginia because

MEGAN COMES HOME ON MONDAY!!!!!

We pulled out of the park and headed just down the road to hook Clark to Lewis.  Towing straight from camp was possible but a few of the streets were tight so we decided to get to a larger area.  We hooked up, gave the girls a short stroll and we were off.

We had talked about routes.  The most direct route sent us down the NJ Turnpike, through Delaware and Maryland and into Virginia.  It also included quite a bit of time on I95.  I95 can be a real bear on any given day but we looked at traffic and decided to have a go.  This route includes the Delaware River Memorial Bridge.  It connects New Jersey with Delaware.

IT IS REALLY HIGH AND YAY FOR FOUR LANES!  IT IS CREEPY BEING THIS HIGH IN THE RV IF WE ARE ON THE VERY OUTSIDE LANE.

GORGEOUS

Traffic was busy but not too bad.  We hit a few log jams but no parking lot stops.   It was hot. 

Penny Lane was doing her "Cover Dog" photo shoot while standing in front of the vent.

She was also being a huge momma's girl.

I HAVE TAKEN TO PUTTING A BABY GATE BETWEEN THE FRONT SEATS.  IF I DON'T, SHE WANTS TO BE IN MY LAP.

Annie Belle was her usual chill self.

We made it to Fort Belvoir in good time.  We checked in and got set up.  The camp here is really nice but the slabs are not very level.  We have big boards to put under the wheels to help with this.  We turned on golf and watched a bit of the Championship.  

We met Ryan and Karen and their kids Grant and Claire for dinner.  Ryan is Rob's half sister's son.  Really solid young family.  Mom and Dad are bring up two good kids.  We had a nice dinner and really enjoyed our visit.

We got back to Lewis and got the girls ready for their evening walk.  Penny was beyond excited to see so much grass and have so many nature smells.  

The evening sky was so pretty.

We'd had another safe journey, visited a bit with family and we were where we needed to be.

Another great day in this thing we call life.
