The Adventures of Lewis and Clark in the 21st Century: Baraboo Habitat for Humanity Day 2

I woke up early Tuesday morning and I was not nearly as sore as I thought I would be. I got ready for my run and got in a few miles before we needed to get ready for our day.

I ran to the main part of town and took a look around.

I got my run and we all got ready for our day at the house. We packed lunches, walked the girls, got our gear and we were off.

We arrived at the work site and got our daily briefing. The future home owner, Elizabeth, was on site when we arrived. Habitat recipients have to put 240 hours of "sweat equity" into their homes. I think this is awesome! What a great way to see how much work goes into building a home.

Megan and went back to work on our handicap accessible ramp.

We all learned a bit here. We have kept the posts long for now. We had to study a bit to get the ADA specified slope on the ramp but we figured it out. It took quite a few of us to get the 2x12 support beams attached but we got it done with a good team effort. Megan and I got more decking laid and we made a really good day of it. Everyone helped with clean up and we all went our way for the evening.

We went to the store for bread and such and then stopped at this place called Viking market. They have all kinds of stuff at this market including an amazing variety of beer.

THE CANDY STORE OF BEERS. THE BEER RUNS ALL THE WAY DOWN THIS WALL AND THE OTHER WALL HAS THE SAME. WE WILL HAVE TO VISIT THIS PLACE EVERY EVENING AND TRY SOMETHING NEW.

We got what we needed and headed to the RV and the girls. We had a plan for dinner and everyone was really hungry. I got the food ready and Rob cranked up the grill.
