Tessa and Megan are the same age and are both rising juniors in college. Tessa had been attending The University of North Alabama but had transferred to Auburn University in Alabama.
Tessa and Megan have grown up together/apart. They have never lived in the same area but we manage to get them together at least once a year. They have joined us on some adventures and we have taken many trips together. Lisa has always welcomed us in her home.

THE GIRLS JUST BEFORE DEPARTURE
We helped Tessa load her car and we spent the early part of Thursday hanging out. The dogs seemed to sense that something was up.

LUCY WONDERING WHY NOONE IS PICKING HER UP
Megan and I said our goodbyes and went to do a few things while Lisa and Tessa put the final touches on her day and said their goodbyes. We are so excited for Tessa! We returned later in the evening and watched a movie.
Friday was a day of seeing cousins and eating. We met my Aunt Cindy and cousin Lafonda for breakfast. We made a two hour event of it but had a great time.
We went back to Lisa's, gathered Megan's things and hung out for a while.
We had made a family plan to meet at my cousin Todd and Katrena's house for dinner. We were doing breakfast for dinner. My Aunt Jan was making her famous homemade biscuits.
SHE MADE FORTY BUT WE ONLY HAD THREE LEFT.
Heather made chocolate gravy for the biscuits. If you have never had chocolate gravy and biscuits, you have missed out. It had been a long time since I'd had it but is was as delicious as I remembered.
CHOCOLATE GRAVY AND BISCUITS
Katrena cooked eggs to order for everyone. What a sweetheart to stand over the stove and cook all those eggs to order.
She also cooked a pile of bacon.

LITTLE KHLOE WONDERING WTH?
I am sure that none of the food was good for you but boy was it good! A hearty meal with good family is medicine for the soul. We were our usual rowdy selves and had a wonderful time. We moved out to the front porch after dinner. We sat out with the setting sun and watched the fireflies come out.
Tomorrow is a travel day for us so we said our goodbyes and made our way to the hotel.
Another great day in this thing we call life.
