Rob returns and Brad Paisley

Rob completed another quick but successful trip to DC.  He was out the door at 0430 on Thursday and back by 1000 on Friday.  It is a bit grueling but....

The wind was still with us.  I am pretty sure Rob's approach and landing was pretty bumpy but he made it back in one piece.

Before Rob got back, I decided to go for a solo run.  I made a huge loop around the property.  The wind kept it interesting but I got it done.

When I got back, it was clear that Penny Lane was missing her dad.  She traded between looking out the front window of the rig and sitting by the door looking out the window.

WAITING

Annie, on the other hand, spent that time in her warm bed.  She gets excited when Rob comes back but she waits in her bed until she knows he has arrived.

WATCHING

The weather kept us in for a bit.  We had on and off rain showers and wind, wind, wind.  The showers finally subsided but the gusts persisted.  We decided to hang close to the RV.  We did get in a couple of good long walks with Penny.  I decided to leave Annie with Lewis.

A couple of weeks before arriving at this park, Rob discovered that they had a concert venue.  He went on to discover that Brad Paisley would be playing on one of the nights we would be there.  We decided that a Brad Paisley concert would be a nice extra.

We had a nice early dinner of homemade pizza and then we got ready for the concert.
MY BOOTS

The shuttle picked us up right at our RV and dropped us off at the casino.  We were a bit early so we just walked around and did some people watching.

WinStar World Casino and Resort is a hotel and casino located near the Oklahoma–Texas state line, 1 mile (1.6 km) north of the Red River, at Exit 1 off Interstate 35 and Winstar Boulevard in Thackerville, Oklahoma. The casino opened as the WinStar Casino in 2004, and was expanded (with a 395-room hotel tower) and renamed the WinStar World Casino in 2009, with its 519,000 square feet (48,200 m2) of casino floor making it the largest casino in the state of Oklahoma. In August 2013, WinStar Resorts completed a major expansion project, which added a new 1000-room second hotel tower that was divided into two phases; this also added a new casino that is attached to the tower. As a result of the completion of this expansion, the casino overtook Foxwoods Resort Casino to become the largest casino in the United States based on gaming floor space. WinStar has over 7,400 electronic games, 46 table poker rooms, 99 total table games, Racer's off-track betting, High Limit Room, keno, and bingo.

Friday night was obviously a big night for folks to visit as it was mobbed.  We are not gamblers but we do like to walk around these places and watch.  One big downside for me is the cigarette smoke.  I loathe cigarette smoke.

As the concert time drew near, we went through the security process and found our seats.  The venue is fairly small with  a capacity of around 3500.  This particular concert was an "in between" tours show and the fairly intimate setting was a really nice change.  Everyone could see and hear Brad Paisley as he entertained and, I will tell you,  he was very entertaining.  We really enjoyed the show.

BEFORE THE SHOW

AMAZING GUITARIST

After the show, we decided to walk back to the RV park.  It was not that far and it was definitely our quickest option.

We returned to the usual fanfare of barks and yips and the girls made their way outside for their last potty break.  We closed up, snuggled up and got some sleeps.

Another great day in this thing we call life.
