We got up Tuesday and the boxes were still there. We got our everyday stuff done and started opening book boxes. We had over 30 of them and we were trying to get most of them in the new bookshelf. We did not get all of them emptied but we made a good dent. We never get rid of books and we are sure we could never have too many. I sometimes second guess our book hoarding ways but.....
After a full day of boxes and paper, we decided to get in the kayak and paddle to a riverside bar/restaurant and have a beer. It is a pretty good paddle but worth the trip.

SENTRY DUTY
Quite a few of the docks are under repair but we found a way to get the kayak secured. We made our way to the bar and the sun was still fairly high. We sat and struck up conversations with folks around us. We talked weather, politics and more politics. We also began a support group for a woman waiting for a blind date. No one knew her or her date(Carl) but she looked like she needed our moral support. She had met this guy online and this was their first face to face. I sort of felt sorry for the guy. This woman had a new posse watching our for her but Carl was coming in totally alone. Rob and I were ready to leave so we passed the torch to another couple.
We got into our kayak and made our way to the bigger water. Sunset was nearing and we had a great westerly view. The dolphin were swimming around so we sat and watched the show.

We got back to the house and took the girls for their evening walk. The humidity that is so persistent during the summer months, has waned. It has been replaced by light breezes and drier air. The days can still get sticky but the evenings are quite nice.
With the walk over, we settled in for Game 6. Yay for game 7.
