Pensacola Beach Pier, Pigeons and Happy Dog

Rob and I got up early Wednesday morning and took Penny Lane for a run.  The weather was cool enough and the sun was bright.  Penny was so very happy to be out with mom and dad.

After our run, we headed back to Lewis and did some admin stuff.  We needed to go out for a bit to take care of a few things so we got the girls settled and took a couple of hours to do boring adult stuff.

By the time we got back, it had gotten fairly warm and we decided to take Penny for a swim.  We found her water toy and walked the lengthy 30 feet to the water.  Penny was on to us and she was ready.

SUCH A HAPPY DOG

MORE PLEASE

After Penny got a good swim, she got a good rinse and I took her for a walk so that she could dry off a bit.  Miss Annie wanted nothing to do with the water or the walk so Rob took her inside.

There is a really long pier in Pensacola Beach and we decided that we should check it out.  We had walked by the day before and we knew that Penny and Annie were not allowed.  They were both happy enough to just stay home.

The pier is long and very sturdy and it costs $1.25 to walk on.  You can fish from the pier for $7.50 and you do not need a fishing license.

It also offers great views of the coastline.

I also noticed lots and lots of pigeons on the pier.  They were fairly bold and were in no hurry to give up their perches when approached.

I THINK THIS ONE WANTED TO PECK ME

THIS ONE WANTED TO BE MY FRIEND
I AM MARRIED TO THIS ONE.  HAHAHA!

UP

UP

AND AWAY!

After a nice walk on the pier, we decided to have dinner at a place called Crabs We Got 'Em.
We sat outside/oceanside and it was beautiful.  We saw a few families with young ones playing in the sand.  The kids were just loving being kids.  They were jumping, running and living for the moment.  It made me smile.

We took an evening walk back to the RV and finished our evening with a few episodes of Big Bang Theory.

Another great day in this thing we call life.
